Pianiste Saki Matsuoka verraste vorig jaar april al toen ze met een cellist bij ons optrad. Dat ze nu weer komt zegt wel iets. Het wordt fantastisch!
Saki zal piano solostukken van o.a. F. Chopin uitvoeren en Maria Koshiishi zingt op 30 november vnl. romantisch repertoire, waarbij Saki haar zal begeleiden.

Bio Saki Matsuoka

Saki Matsuoka (Tokyo) is an enterprise musician. Saki has a wide range of repertoires, given her solo piano concerts with a program of over 300 years time period.

Saki began studying piano at the age of 7 at Yamaha Music School in Japan. She also took lessons from Kazuhiro Yamawaki, a professor at Kunitachi Music College. After moving to the Netherlands, she continued her study at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Piano.

 

Saki is currently studying Master’s Specialisation Complimentary Subject of Classical Music and Early Music at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. She studies Classical Piano under David Kuyken and Fortepiano under Petra Somlai and Bart van Oort. She had masterclasses for piano and chamber music by Eliso Virsaladze, Frank Braley and Michael Strauss among others. She has participated in Peter de Grote Festival (Aurola Festival) and is giving concerts in the Netherlands and Japan.

For her master’s study, she was awarded a scholarship by Adriana Jacoba Fonds.

Bio Maria Koshiishi

Japanese mezzosoprano Maria Koshiishi is an emerging artist, recently graduated from Dutch National Opera Academy. She has been acclaimed for a gorgeous color in her voice, her sensitive artistry and a unique stage presence in her wide-ranging repertoire that spans from the Baroque period to 21st century.

She performed the roles of Pasqualita in John Adamo’s Doctor Atomic, Cesare in Graun’s Cleopatra e Cesare, Dritte Dame in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Cecilia March in M. Adamo’s Little Women (including Dutch premiere), Orlofsky in J. Strauss’s Die Fledermaus, and Armelinde in Viardo’s Cendrillon. She also performed Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte at Bredeweg Festival, and Flora in Verdi’s La Traviata at Festival Classique in 2022.

On the concert stage, she has been the mezzosoprano or alto soloist in Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Stravinsky’s Le Noces, Mozart’s Requiem, Mendelssohn’s Elias and Pauls, Beethoven’s Symphony No.9, Bach’s Magnificat and B-minor messe. In 2019 she gave her first Lieder-Abend in Japan featuring romantic German and Russian repertoire. Also, during the bachelor’s education she started performing regularly with Bach Collegium Japan. In 2023/2024 season, she is a member of Groot Omroepkoor.

Ms. Koshiishi received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree at Tokyo Universityof the Arts.
